Men's Issues
I wish I knew how to feel, as well as think.
I feel stuck in my mind. My thoughts race on, yet my heart remains a mystery.
Thinking through any problem that comes my way is easy, but how do I connect more fully with my loved ones and friends?
Something is missing in my life, and I can admit this to myself but fear mentioning it to others.
I want to experience the richness of life, the moments of joy, the contentment that comes from feeling connected to the people around me.
Being a man has its challenges.
In our society, those who identify as men face unique challenges, even more so today than in the past.
Society teaches men to be tough on the outside. Men often think that feelings are unnecessary, and one should avoid expressing how one feels to anyone, especially another man.
Society expects men to force down their feelings and to rely solely on their rational minds.
Don’t get me wrong – clear thinking is fantastic, but this is only one part of the equation, because lack of emotional clarity creates challenges in relationships and yourself. Clear feeling, in addition to clear thinking, is so essential if you want to live fully and love fully.
Let’s break through barriers.
Being a man doesn’t need to feel like wearing a straitjacket. Men need an outlet to come to grips with who they are inside.
Portraying a manly image, one seemingly together, while your inner being screams for recognition, is no way to live a full life.
Let’s unpack all that old hardened emotion weighing you down so that you can experience the good stuff – joy, contentment, peace, and love.
Let’s work together to learn to feel as well as think. Call me today: (312) 715-7828.
